Curracloe Rowing Club members hit the rowing machines at the club this morning to take on a 15k challenge in aid of Pieta House's Darkness Into Light 2026. It was tough going, fifteen thousand metres doesn't come easy on any morning, but every member on the machines was glad to put in the work for a cause that matters so much.

Once the rowing was done, the challenge moved outdoors. Members traded the gym floor for the sand at Ballinesker Beach 🏖️, cooling off with a sunrise swim before warming back up with a recovery session in the sauna . A tough session on the machines followed by a swim in the sea 🌊, that's not a combination for the faint hearted, but it made for a morning nobody on the team will forget.

Thank you to everyone who helped organise the morning, everyone who came down to cheer the team on, and everyone who donated to Pieta House along the way. Darkness Into Light supports a cause that touches so many families, and mornings like this show what the club can do when it puts its weight behind something that matters.
