Five members of Curracloe Rowing Club travelled to Birmingham this December to take on the British Indoor Rowing Championships 2025. Ryan Corcoran, Steph Corcoran, Mark Peters, Cathal Gaule and Sheila Roche lined up against rowers from clubs across Britain and Ireland at one of the biggest fixtures on the indoor rowing calendar.
Racing indoors brings a different kind of pressure. There's no water, no crew to lean on mid stroke, just the machine, the clock, and whatever you've built up in training over the months before. All five members handled that pressure well, and by every account it was an incredible event and a brilliant experience for everyone who made the trip.
Well done to Ryan, Steph, Mark, Cathal and Sheila for representing Curracloe on the biggest stage in indoor rowing, and thank you for doing the club proud in Birmingham.
